Meet Comedian Mazdak Momen – is an Iranian-American comedian and writer based in San Diego, CA. Born and raised on the east coast, he started standup comedy in 2023 to help combat inflation. When he realized it had no effect on inflation, he kept doing it anyway. When not performing, he works as a software engineer and roots for his hometown Washington Commanders. He regularly performs at Comedy Heights and Kacklez and is also co-producer of Slap Diego Comedy. While performing all over Southern California, he has also toured with La Cabrona Comedy and performed at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, Big Laughs Fest 2025 and the Vermont Comedy Festival 2025. He still hopes comedy will, one day, solve national economic problems.
